EuroVelo - Day 25 - Ride Like The Wind

 Donauworth to Neustadt - 92km 53 miles

A late-ish start after yet another late night owing to rack fitting and adjustments. We also had a pleasant last (?) chat and goodbyes (?) with our Breton friends. At the conclusion I held out my hands to them, and politely asked them to join me in prayer, to which they awkwardly agreed until I said a few words regarding the fortitude of my new pannier rack!! They immediately laughed with pleasure and we all parted as friends!!

Amazing Day Cycling-wise..... but first, our first and only stop was in Neuberg. Another amazing German town! Clean&Tidy, Tidy&Neat... just like Mr. Clean likes it! Amazing architecture, Trompe-l'œil, sandwiches and cinnamon buns!!

40km 'non stop' before brunch in Neuberg, without any breakfast but a cup of tea, our hunger was mitigated by the lucky windfall of some delicious apples. We each had two then and there, and I packed away 5 more good ones as Paul promised to make some form of pork delicacy for dinner, which of course made the carriage fees tally! 50km 'non stop' after brunch,.... knowing that 'butcher's dog' feeling is beyond excellent.... extending our 'warranty/use by' date by at least 5yrs on this adventure!!

On we rolled and got to our Donauworth Campsite in good time for setup, beer, and dinner preparation. The campsite was appointed to the standard of a five star hotel.... under floor heating, the lot. Paul's dinner was amazing. Whilst washing up tge dirty dishes I spoke witg Rainer and Andrea from Trier... heard of it and friend Worri studied there.... Roman town, must visit!

We are both gaining strength and loving every kilometer! Today was heavily Donau side, with one hydroelektric Kraftwerk after another!

Blue skies today were Biblical in it's blue-ness... and so then was the water!!🥰🤙

Guten Auben!
