EuroVelo Day 6 - Rest Day in Orleans s/Loire France
One shouldn't necessarily consider a day of rest on a tour as part of the tour, but I beg to differ that a tour of such magnitude as 'Europe Coast2Coast' must see Rest Days as integral to the success of the quest as is the pedalling itself...... and of course what I say goes!!🤣🤙
Orleans Vieux (ou Originée) has a lovely vibe, a bustling Old Town, and a most terrific Cathedral! It is, by&large very clean, and looking prosperous in most every regard!
And boy, did I for one need this Rest Day so as to be bright eyed and bushy tailed in the morning for our final two days on the Loire!! It has indeed exceeded expectations in most every way! And once we were pasr c.80+km from the Atlantic the weather has been immaculate, campsites plentiful and inexpensive, trails and way marking nearly perfect!!

No wacky characters here in Orleans, but very heavy with Deutschlanders,! All ery pleasant people, but indeed their camping rigs make our tents arrangements look all rather austere....I zink zay still have alot of zee money
