EuroVelo Day 4 - Way Marks and Head Winds

La Blardiere to Chaumont s/ Loire 60 miles/100km

Coeur de la Loire!! We cycled through vineyards, riversides and sadly straight, head long into a second day of unrelenting head winds..... the wind didn't get a mention yesterday as I hoped the pesky SOB would disappear today.... but it didn't..... and I fear it will not tomorrow!!πŸ€£πŸ€™

Luckily the temperatures are warm and the humidity is low, so the going isn't all that bad!!πŸ˜ŽπŸ€™

We travelled along mainly fine gravel tracks, however some main roads to beat the winds by team riding over many long miles!!

The towns of Tours, and Amboise came and they went and I visited 5 bike shops and hardware stores in Tours to find brackets to effect any necessary future repairs to my pannier rack.....but current mitigations are holding.... I feel the only solution will come from my Maintenance Superhero Dennis of CycleFix fame.... please bid for good karma for spare parts to meet me en route through France, Germany, or Switzerland.... met another interesting array of people in Francophonic Thierry worked in the UK for 2 yrs some 40 yrs ago.and now draws a tidy little UK Gov't pensions which amuses him to no end, a great guy. Then en route we Harry, notvsure about his story but a multi-languaged and well spoken Chap who has also 'Climbed Kili, and then lastly Polska Bart, an effing&jeffing Pllish guy who lives in Germany and seemingly just travels around Europe in his campervan eating&drinking..... not bad a 49 yr old ex-windsurfing superstar son of German musicians!!..... it takes a kinds..... it would be boring if we were all the same..... help came drom many but a kindly lady wasnot keen on giving us water in the enormous heat at first, but luckily thought better of and I tended her dog until she can back.... she WILL sleep better tonight!!

Cousin Kate said include maps so here is today's.... I will find a way to put them all in and backtrack days missed and an overall overviewmap... Hell, I'll do that last one now.... after all it's only 0025h!! On second thought it'll tomorrow

Paul knocked out one cracking Curry de Dinde tonight!! Off to Orleans tomorrow!!☝️πŸ˜ŽπŸ€™ Tonight feature wine was a Beaujolais Village and very nice it was!!
